Review

A chance meeting, followed by a lovebite, and Caleb starts to turn ... Mae, who turned him, now has to help him through the process, and get him accepted by the group ....

An original vampire tale, with its own rules and logic. But told well, with absolute consistency, and attention to detail, without slowing the plot with excessive back story.

One of a handful of vampire movies that looks at the world from their side of the fence; a powerful tale of love, lust and bloodlust that takes you wth it from the beginning right through. The casting is good, the story and script are excellent; no need for garlic, graveyards or gimmicks....

The hints at individual stories merely whet the appetite for more - why wasn't this taken up for a TV series?
